Sarah's Covenant Homes is a NGO (Non-Governmental Authority) located in the state of Andrah Pradesh, India. Run by Sarah Rebbavarapu, an American married to an Indian pastor, SCH is a branch of Indian Christian Ministries and was born from a prophetic dream from God telling Sarah to care "for his lambs".
In January 2008, SCH opened with 10 formerly abandoned children who have special needs. In the Fall of 2011, SCH will gain guardianship of 20 more children, bringing the total of children in their care to over 100. All of the children at SCH have been abandoned and have medical issues ranging from cerebral palsy, autism, seizures, developmental delays, blindness, limb differences, and down syndrome.
Many of the children in Sarah's care are considered medically fragile. SCH operates solely from donations and the costs to care for the children at SCH are high. SCH is not simply a home for these children... it's a family. All children are provided with vaccinations, vitamins, medicines, surgeries, therapies, and the best education possible. Sarah treats these children as if they were her own. They are her own.
